What is Shigaraki Ware ?
Shigaraki ware (called Shigaraki Yaki in Japanese) is a type of pottery made around the town of Shigaraki in Shiga prefecture Japan.
One notable feature of Shigaraki ware is that it is made using coarse soil so it is highly fire-resistant. In the firing process, it acquires pink or other shades of red, becoming red with scarlet or brown overtones.
Due to subtle changes that depend on the temperature and firing method, Shigaraki ware's white clay takes on a scarlet glow and warm coloring, a characteristic unique to this craft.
Shigaraki ware is unique because of its simple warmth and rich expressiveness.

3. Shipping Cost
Currently, we use DHL Express for all shipments all over the world.
It generally costs USD35.00/per item for weight below 2kg and USD54.00/per item over 2 kg to 3.5 kg shipping to the USA, Australia, and most other countries. Shipping costs may vary in the quantity of the item. And please note the total weight or the dimensional weight of the item. Even though an item weight 2kg generally costs USD35.00, the shipping cost is more expensive due to the dimensional weight.
